"Cry for Yous", also known as "Weep for You (You'll Never Encounter Me Again)" on Hard2Beat,[1] is a vocal by Swedish singer Petra Marklund, performing every bit September. Composition and release [edit]

Before the worldwide release in 2007, September had originally recorded the vocal for her studio album In Orbit (2005). However, in many compilations September has released, the vocal has appeared on her compilations including September, Dancing in Orbit, Gold and Cry for Yous - The Album. Co-ordinate to September, she explained the reason why she wanted to release information technology worldwide, by saying "The song was so strong by itself. And I've been there and it feels like the fans are starved of dance music. But now dance music is coming dorsum again, and the world is getting smaller and smaller because of the net – that now sometimes you don't even have to do much promotion, although obviously information technology is still very important. Only I recall that a hitting vocal volition always notice a manner."[four]

Critical reception [edit]

"Cry for Y'all" received positive reviews from music critics. Nick Levine from Digital Spy awarded the song with four stars out of 5, giving it a positive review. He stated "[...] it's a surprisingly affecting Eurodance number, a record that'south both relentlessly danceable and desperately sad" and said its "actually a pretty decent record."[10] Notwithstanding, he felt the song was non "original" enough to outbet releases by boyfriend Swedish singer Robyn. "Cry for Yous" was certified gold for shipment of over 500,000 copies by the Recording Manufacture Association of America in 2010. The vocal is the offset by a Swedish artist to exist certified by the RIAA since Ace of Base of operations's Cruel Summertime in 1998. The song was listed at number five on the Top 100 Gild Nautical chart Year-End result.[xvi]

Music video [edit]

Two music videos were released for the single. The international version is set at the border of a futuristic metropolis within a big solitary building which could be a prison house, barracks or factory.
